1973
Gerald Ernst, Jr. creates the Aim High Basketball Camp in Flushing, MI.
1974-1992
The Aim High Basketball camps grow from a one week local high school camp, to 6 weeks of the best full-day camps in the state of Michigan. The camps are held in Reed City, MI (1975-1980), Boyne City, MI (1982), Deckerville, MI (1982), St. Johns, MI (1983), and at the "Dome of Doom" in Charlotte, MI (1984-1992).
1993
Stephen Ernst, Gerald's son, spearheads the opening of Aim High Basketball Academy in Lansing, MI. Located in the former Walter French Middle School building (where Earvin "Magic" Johnson attended), the two court facility offers the Original Aim High Basketball Camps, instruction, club teams, tournaments, and leagues...including an NCAA sanctioned league that features legends of the game including: Magic Johnson, Reggie Fox, Leonard "Pig" Miller, Carl & Charles Thomas, Stacy "Elevator" Kelly, Eric "Major Pain" Menk, and many more!
1995
Stephen Ernst opens Aim High Sports opens in Dimondale, MI. The 5-court facility includes a team store, weight room, arcade, and more.
1997
Coach Stephen Ernst steps back from operations of the facility to coach at the high school and collegiate level.
2000
Eldon Academy opens in Petoskey, MI. The learning center focused strictly on ACT/SAT improvement and player training/exposure as the participants played a national schedule against the best teams in the country. The program saw a high success rate of players moving on to play at the next level due to both an average ACT score improvement of 4 points and player development/exposure.
2009
Erika Ernst re-brands the post graduate program and re-introduces it as Aim High Sports International, opening the door to international student-athletes. Aim High Sports International welcomes players from Greece, Serbia, Montenegro, England, Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Germany alongside players from the USA.
2017
Erika Ernst brings Aim High "Relentless" club basketball to Queen Creek, AZ. 12 young ladies successfully compete in tournaments across the globe including San Diego, Las Vegas, London, and Barcelona as they set the standard for the Aim High-Relentless club basketball program.
2018
Aim High Sports International LLC is formed to provide both high school and post graduate student-athletes the opportunity to compete on a national level. After a year in rural southern Michigan the decision was made to close this program and build bigger and better some place warmer....
2020
Aim High International, a non-profit 501C3, opens its doors In Sebring, Florida with the following mission:
Aim High International seeks to provide a Christian foundation for every student-athlete so that they may strive towards the discipline required to build a moral character and critical thinking skills. Aim High International hopes to inspire an excellence in conservative education, teamwork, and leadership.
